PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides leadership to ensure district-wide implementation of the summer learning program. Responsible for the supervision of summer staff, monitoring of instruction and payroll.

REPORTS TO: Directors of School Improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Education Level:
    • Valid GA Teacher Certificate
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Valid GA Leadership certification (preferred)
  2. Experience, Skill and Certification:
    • Valid Georgia certification
    • At least three years of successful experience within an educational environment
    • Demonstrated experience in the leadership roles
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Knowledge in professional development strategies and group presentation skills
    • Knowledge of standards-based instruction, effective teaching strategies, and effective behavior management skills
    • Demonstrable skill with evidence-based interventions for academics, behavior, and communication
General Duties and Responsibilities

  1. The site coordinator will monitor all summer school employees time through the Kronos system and verify all reports with payroll.
  2. Monitors instruction in the building and virtual by completing regular observations.
  3. Monitors the implementation of safety protocols in the building.
  4. Support and monitor CTAE camps in building
  5. Ensures progress reports are provided to parents on a weekly basis.
  6. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
Terms of Employment: The work calendar will be 17-34 days. This includes at least 1 day before each session and 1 day after for closing out the session and inputting promotion/retention status in Power School. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.

CLASSROOM Employees in this category spend at least most of the workday in a typical classroom or related educational environment. There will be prolonged periods of standing or walking, and there may be frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. There are occasions that require the lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies. Reading, listening, writing, and speaking are requirements. There are few exceptional physical or sensory demands, but there may be occasions that require the lifting or restraint of a student.
