Senior Director of Growth Strategy and Operations
Reporting directly to the Founder, the Senior Director of Growth, Strategy and Operations will play a key role in leading and supporting the organization's capacity development and strategic growth plan.
A strong SD GSO candidate possesses the following competencies:
Entrepreneurial: You have five or more years of progressively increasing operational leadership experience for a growing, multi-site non-profit, charter, or similar organization with experience setting goals, developing project plans, and adapting quickly.
Systems Thinker: You have a track record of developing, implementing, and managing business systems and processes to support a growing multi-million dollar organization, including significant experience with at least several of the following functional areas: finance, human resources,external affairs, site-based operations, information technology, and legal services
Results-Oriented: You have the ability to negotiate and execute contracts, and manage the quality of service providers and vendors, including but not limited to: auditors, HR operations partners, IT and other administrative / facilities functions
Analytic: You have excellent judgment in decision-making and understand how to solicit and leverage stakeholder input when appropriate, using available data to drive decision-making.
Player-Coach: You know when to collaborate, when to work independently, and when to step back and delegate. You aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, but also understand the value of your time and perspective. You hate bureaucracy and drama.

Specific duties include:

Strategic Planning and Execution
• Collaborate and thought partner with school leadership to refine and develop Nashville Classical's current strategic plan, which currently calls for opening two new schools over the next 12-48 months, which -- when fully occupied -- will triple the size of the organization.
• Lead project management and execution for operational aspects of the strategic plan
• Identify, develop and implement operational systems improvements that will support highly efficient and effective performance as Nashville Classical continues to grow in size and complexity.



Team and Organizational Leadership
• Monitor all external vendor relationships; oversee tracking of Nashville Classical's physical assets; serve as a liaison to all outside consultants and professional services staff
• Collaboration with Principals to design a dashboard, rubrics, and evaluation system to hire and hold Deans of Operations, Operations Coordinators, Operations Residents, and Office managers accountable to performance metrics and support them in improving performance and meeting goals.
• Create, implement, and monitor organizational operations initiatives (e.g. design toolkits and professional development for Testing, Enrollment, Supply Ordering, etc/).
• Effectively collaborate with Principals to support and develop a team of school-based Deans of Operations and ensure outstanding school operations through their core areas of responsibility, including but not limited to:
○ Daily School Systems
○ Facilities
○ Supply Management
○ Technology Management
○ Food Service
○ Transportation
○ Rostering
○ Assessments
○ Enrollment Management
○ Operations Leader Collaboration
○ Operations Team Management
○ Student & Staff Culture

New School Launch
• Design and implement a new school launch playbook that can be used by school operations and instructional leaders to make key decisions and establish key decisions for the launch of a new campus, including how to
○ Build an annual calendar
○ Enroll new students
○ Budget effectively
○ Establish new community partnerships
○ Prepare a new facility
○ Order supplies and materials
○ Onboard new staff
○ Establish internal and external communications
○ Set an organizational culture
○ Set month-by-month priorities

The Compensation

The SD GSO salary will be competitive with similar roles within the organization and other schools.
