The Sweet Home Central School District seeks a highly qualified candidate to provide support to the Middle School. The candidate must hold NYSED certification as a School Social Worker or School Counselor. Preference given to candidates who are also licensed mental health professionals.
This full-time probationary position is anticipated to begin 9/1/21. The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours to conduct home visits and family outreach sessions in the late afternoon or early evening.
In addition to academic guidance, this position will include a broad range of responsibiliites related to social/emotional supports for students, including but not limited to: therapeutic counseling, issues related to adolescent and family crisis/trauma, mental health and behavioral concerns, and social skill development and conflict resolution.
