SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - 8:1:1 ACADEMIC CLASSROOM (GR 6-8)
PROBATIONARY POSITION (1.0 FTE)- MIDDLE SCHOOL
Our district is seeking a secondary special education teachers skilled in supporting the needs of students with disabilities in a secondary setting for one full-time vacancy.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a NYS Special Education/Students with Disabilities certificate for grades 6-8 (Students with Disabilities 7-12 with grades 5-6 extension, SWD 5-9, Special Education K-12) or other appropriate NYS certification grades
  
  
• Possess a NYS certificate or Statement of Continued Eligibility (SOCE) to be considered Highly Qualified in each of the following content areas for grades 6-8: Math, ELA, Social Studies
  
  
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (see attached).
• Prior experience in a secondary self-contained setting preferred

START DATE: Start of the 2021-22 school year
SALARY: Per the AEA salary schedule
