S enior Human Resource Partner
About this role...
As a NWEA Senior Human Resources Partner (HR P ) , you are dedicated to helping NWEA align business objectives with the people doing the work . You provide strategic workforce design guidance, leader and staff coaching, full-cycle strategic HR support, and access to related services and resources . B y using a consultative approach, you will proactively seek to de velop and support the application of integrated solutions to people and business-related issues. As a successful HR P , you model and help operationalize our organizational values , understand our busi ness and culture, are an agent for change , and support and demonstrate D iversity E quity I nclusion and A ccessibility (DEIA) principles in daily practices . At the senior level, you navigate with a deeper and broader sense of the business, understand and apply metrics to solve complex business issues, and engage in the creation of both short and long-term talent plans for teams. This is a remote work opportunity available to candidates who currently reside anywhere in the U.S.

Your next challenge...
  • Provides leaders with guidance and in sight on team design, workforce planning, succession planning , policy guidance and interpretation
  • Leads and supports the administ ration of assigned HR functions or areas as subject matter expertise : Total Rewards ( Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, Culture supports) ADA and FMLA , DEIA, Performance Management, Leadership Coaching, HR Policies, HR Operational efficiencies, Talent Management, etc.
  • Co nnects and communicates regular meeting cadence with assigned business teams , to fully understand , support , and whe n necessary, challenge business / people goals and strategies
  • Actively and urgently demonstrates personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) through application of hiring, compensatio n developmental/promotional programs , coaching delivery , individualized and systemic retention effort s and collaboration with DEIA team
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Consults w ith leaders and staff to determine root cause analysis of business challenges - providing expertise , guidance, and data analytics
  • Analyzes business trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions and policies
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues , while teaching and empowering leaders in the process
  • Provides performance management guidance to leaders and staff (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, competency identification, etc. )
  • Works closely and regularly with leaders to improve team engag e ment , build morale, and increase productivity /efficiency , resulting in retention
  • Actively models and operationalizes our organizational and team values and behaviors
  • Actively contributes to the success of the HR team , by collaborating on team projects , communications, team goal setting, and actively engaging in policy and process improvement

  • Advanced experience utilizing business and people metrics; ability to use influence to introduce and leverage these metrics with teams who do not currently use them
  • Advanced interpretation/ utilization of complex data and ability to extract core information for issue mana gement and process improvements
  • Advanced a gile HR mindset - includes o rientation towards individuals, interactions and employee experience over processes and tools
  • Advanced skill and experience in facilitating training related to Performance Management, Talent calibration, Competency integration and O rg anizational Development work (such as transition management, conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Advanced experience and skill in managing complex ER issues
  • Advanced mastery of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and additional HR-related software tools
  • Intermediate understanding and practical application of compensation philosophy and principles; ability to do comp analysis work when necessary
  • Intermediate understanding and practical application of Talent Acquisition philosophy and practices; ability to recruit and onboard
  • Ability to demonstrate and coach on a 'both/and' vs. binary mindset where appropriate
  • Ability to proactively work independently as well as a contributing team member
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex and time sensitive projects and issues
  • Ability to communicate and present at an executive level, excellent mediation skills and high EQ

Education and experience ...
  • Minimum b achelor's degree in related field preferred ; or an equivalent combinations of work experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 7 years ' HR work experience with emphasis in strategic HR business partnering through agile lens , in a highly dynamic and changing organization
  • Coursework in Human Resources related areas and/ or PHR /SPHR certification highly desirable
