The Collaborative for Educational Services is seeking an Education Leadership Specialist to design and facilitate Instructional Rounds and other professional development or technical assistance for educators working in Recovery High Schools.

This is You:
  • You have at least 10 years of school or district based leadership experience including oversight of secondary schoolsAt least 5 years experience working collaboratively to assess and enhance K-12 educational programming.Familiarity with essential school supports for student mental health and substance use issues, and preferably with the Recovery Capital FrameworkStrong knowledge of social/emotional learning issues affecting young people in school settingsEvidence of ability to develop innovative practices and approaches that are responsive to educator needs, new knowledge about learning, and state and federal initiativesMA State Administrator license required

Highlights of What You Will Do:
  • Play a leadership role in the design and implementation of Instructional Rounds in five Recovery High Schools (RHS) in MassachusettsIn collaboration with the Senior Research and Evaluation Specialist and the Clinical Leadership Specialist facilitate conversations and present findings to groups of DESE and RHS leadersEngage with Recovery High School (RHS) and DESE leaders to support their efforts to build a common framework and guidelines for RHSs
  • Strengthen the capacity of DESE administrators and RHS leaders to apply educational best practices to their framework, school management, and program design
