Role Mission: The DI Program Manager serves as an expert in Direct Instruction for Pre-K-2 DI within an assigned region, managing and supporting student academic achievement through data analysis, consistent quality coaching and training of leaders. As a national team member, the DI Program Manager will collaborate across regions and with NIFDI to implement comprehensive, user friendly and aligned processes that empower school leaders to lead instruction, increase teacher effectiveness and maximize student results.
Accountabilities
Ensure successful implementation of DI in grades Pre-K-2 for a cohort of schools within assigned region so that schools meet the district end of year Pre-K-2 DI student achievement goals.
Manage district wide systems and processes for DI at the regional level such as DI Testing, PK-2 DI Academy, BoY Roster creation, BoY / EoY Roster Verification, DI Online, Mid-Year Hire, NIFDI and other Pre-K-2 related trainings so that schools meet the district end of year Pre-K-2 DI student achievement goals.
Prioritize and support school lead team members who manage DI teachers so that 90% of schools meet defined capacity building targets .
Facilitate business partnerships with NIFDI Project Directors and school leaders at NIFDI supported schools within assigned region

Salaries for people entering this role typically start between $69,700 and $85,100, commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational goal attainment.

- Support effective DI In struction through weekly data analysis, feedback, observations and coaching
- Facilitate and/or participate in Weekly Problem Solving Calls to provide clear next steps via the Weekly Problem Solving Summary
- Provide group /regroup/test up recommendations based on DI Placement /DIBELS test results
- Conduct in field observations, coaching and support to school leaders
- Communicate priorities so that schools meet district student achievement goals
- Manage and communicate processes related to PK-2 DI implementation, so that leaders in the region are tightly aligned around priorities. Such as:
- Participate in operating mechanisms for region to facilitate communication: check-ins/business partnership meetings
- Utilize regional newsletters as primary mode of communication to cascade information and/or action items
- Troubleshoot in person or remotely, formally or informally with school leaders as needed
Manage district wide systems and processes for DI at the regional level such as DI Testing, PK-2 DI Academy, BoY Roster creation, BoY / EoY Roster Verification, DI Online, Mid-Year Hire, NIFDI and other Pre-K-2 related trainings so that schools meet the district end of year Pre-K-2 DI student achievement goals.
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to determine the process for PK-2 related trainings , attendance and logistics
- Define process and checkpoints for leaders and teachers for registration so that participants enroll in appropriate sessions of PK-2 DI Academy , PK-2 DI Academy make-up, PK Institute, DI Systems Overview and all related NIFDI trainings (Coaching Academ ies I, II, III, III plus, IV, Peer Coaches Training-Level A, B, C)
- Provide training and accountability for school leaders in key processes throughout the year such as roster creation and verification and student testing
- Collaborate with the Director of Academics-PK-2 and participate in the design and roll out of Pre-K Institute and other related PK-2 trainings
Prioritize and support school lead team members who manage DI teachers so that 90% of schools meet defined capacity building targets .
- Track and monitor leader training s so that appropriate staff complete all required training s
- Track and monitor teacher -leader training so that appropriate staff complete A, B, C Coach Training , as well as , Trainer of Trainers
- Leverage teacher leader c apacity, such as using Trainer of Trainers to deliver mid-year hire training as needed
Facilitate business partnerships with NIFDI Project Directors and school leaders at NIFDI supported schools within assigned region
- Co-facilitate quarterly trend meetings with Chief Program Officer, Director of Academics PK-2 and NIFDI Project Directors to facilitate data analysis and next steps , so that school leaders develop continuously toward autonomy and student achievement increases quarterly toward goals
- Create and maintain operating mechanisms with Project Directors so that the business partnership with NIFDI serves the needs of schools and maximizes new leader growth
- Engage resources such as Teachboost, Problem Solving Summaries, DI Online and Locus Dashboard to identify patterns and trends and communicate with NIFDI Project Directors to provide communication to NIFDI Implementation Managers and schools about strategies and next steps for improvement
- Collaborate with NIFDI P roject D irector s and campus leaders to identify teacher leaders to attend Peer Coaches Training and/or NIFDI Coaching Academies to build a strong pipeline for campus lead team positions

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years DI teaching experience in any of the following programs: Reading Mastery, Signatures Language
- Minimum of 1-year coaching Reading Mastery
- Minimum of 2 years managing DI program implementation and instruction
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong k nowledge of multiple DI Programs such as Reading Mastery, Signatures Language, DISTAR, Espanol to English , Corrective Reading
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends/priorities, as well as, strategies and next steps
