Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator will work under the leadership of the Partners and Wellness Project Manager and will assist in managing Propel’s comprehensive wellness support system within Propel’s Partners in Wellness (PPIW) program. Through Propel’s community agency partner(s), the Project Coordinator assists in providing strength-based, behavior and wellness coaching for students, families, and staff within Propel Schools. The Project Coordinator is committed to helping students thrive in school, in their homes, and in the community.

Key Job Elements:

The Project Coordinator helps in managing a multi-tiered support system following a strategic and unique school-based model in all 13 of Propel’s schools. Works to increase positive interactions and experiences that lead to the overall health and wellness of students, families, and staff by providing strategies and tools to help reduce barriers to learning. Is responsible for identifying program growth opportunities as well as providing support for any gaps in staffing and/or operational needs to effectively implement and expand programming. Assess strengths, needs, and challenges of the wellness support system.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with implementation and management of SAP across Propel Schools including but not limited to attending weekly/bi-weekly SAP team meetings, educating SAP team members on the SAP process and their roles & responsibilities, and providing SAP maintenance to ensure fidelity of the program
  2. Serve as a service coordinator for students and families across Propel Schools
  3. Perform risk assessments as needed
  4. Conduct CANS screenings as needed
  5. Assist in overseeing and maintaining processes for postvention and trauma for use Propel wide
  6. Collaborate with school leadership to provide effective programming and professional development opportunities
  7. Develop and co-facilitate professional development for staff
  8. Serve as a liaison between PPIW staff and Scholar Support Specialists, assisting with streamlined communication and professional development
  9. Assist in developing quality programming and engagement opportunities for Propel families, community, and staff
  10. Work with educators, parents, and school leadership to develop plans and strategies to improve students’ academic performance and social development
  11. Weekly, daily, and monthly data analysis to assess programming objectives
  12. Conduct PPIW monthly check-in meetings and participate in PPIW leadership meetings
  13. Monitor school data (ODRs, attendance, suspension)
  14. Under the leadership of the PPIW Project Manager, collaborate to ensure fidelity of the program
  15. Support Community Affairs efforts to increase family and community engagement

Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor’s degree required in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health or a related field
  2. SAP certification preferred
  3. Strong knowledge of managing Student Assistance Program (SAP) and school-based teams
  4. Knowledge of Multi-tier System of Supports (MTSS) framework
  5. Knowledge of state regulations, trends, and successes pertaining to Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS)
  6. Knowledge of children and family services
  7. The familiarity of child-serving systems
  8. 3-5 years of experience in education, human services, non-profit or other organization with comparable responsibilities to this role
  9. Self-motivated with a desire to do good work and improve current conditions and life outcomes for Propel students, their families, and the community
  10. Experience working with diverse populations
  11. Comfortable working, walking, talking, and generally interacting with parents, school staff, residents, business leaders, politicians, and community activists
  12. Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word and Excel
  13. Familiarity in Google Workspace


Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time while working at the computer within the office.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The person in this position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

The person in this position frequently communicates with various internal and external stakeholders as it relates to the Partners in Wellness Department. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
