St. John Brebeuf School in Niles is seeking a full-time Middle School science teacher for the Fall of 2021. Qualified candidates must be committed to the education of the middle school level learner, and implement curriculum based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Archdiocese of Chicago learning standards. The candidate must be proficient in the use of technology and be able to deliver on-line instruction. The teacher will deliver instruction in science to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students; prepare students for and faciitate our local science fair, with the possibilites of regional and state level science fair particitipation; and deliver instruction in other subjects to the 6th grade homeroom. The candidate will join a dynamic faculty who are committed to academic excellence, the values of the Catholic faith, and creating partnerships with an involved and supportive parent community. Position begins August 16, 2021.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's (or Masters) Degree in education from an Accredited College or University OR
  Bacheor's Degree in Science with License with stipulations


• Current Illinois Professional Educator License


• Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred but not required


• Possess respect & ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings
