Job Description: --------------------------------------------------------------

The Hartford School District (HSD) enjoys a strong reputation for quality programs and great employee relationships in the Vermont and New Hampshire region. The HSD exists as a single-town district with one school board, three elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, and a Career and Technology Center. In addition, the HSD contains three separate collaborative programs: Regional Alternative Program, Hartford Autism Regional Program, and the Regional Resource Center. The HSD has an annual school budget of roughly $40 million and serves approximately 1800 students. The HSD is committed to supporting the diversity, equity and inclusivity for all employees and students.

This new administrator position will provide on-site, consistent and regular administrative oversight to the two collaborative programs housed in the newly renovated Wilder Building.

The Regional Alternative Program (RAP) is an educational therapeutic program serving students with severe behavioral disabilities in grades 1 through 12.

The Hartford Autism Regional Programs (HARP) provides educational and clinical services using principles of applied behavior analysis for students in elementary school through high school who have autism or other related developmental disabilities.

Both programs have been led historically by teachers serving in a coordinator role.

Given the renovation of the Wilder Building and the combination of two programs in one site, the timing is right for the addition of a building based administrator to provide the leadership needed for programmatic and instructional improvements, to not only bring enrollment to maximum capacity (52 students; currently enrolled at 37.5), but also to provide a high quality education that the student deserve.

●Collaborate with community partners and HSD resources to create authentic learning opportunities.

●Develop, implement and evaluate grant opportunities to support learning initiatives.
