This is a one-year position for the 2021-22 school year

Essential Functions and Objectives:

- The Social Worker provides social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of students and their families in order to maximize academic functioning and achievement. Responds to referrals and or reported cases from teachers, administrators, other school personnel, parents, students, self, and community agencies such as the Department of Human Services. Gathers information, investigates and interviews clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems, to determine what services are required to meet their needs. Serves as a liaison between students, homes, schools, family services, child guidance clinics, courts, protective services, doctors, and other contacts, to help children who face problems such as disabilities, abuse, or poverty.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

- Must possess a current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with a Social Worker endorsement.\nLCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred.\nPrevious school social work experience is preferred.\n\n

Credential Requirements:

* Special Service Initial License
* Special Service Professional License
* Social Worker, Clinical License

Education Requirements:

* Master's degree in Social Work.
