Teacher (Grade 3)

BuffSci seeks talented, positive, honest , culturally competent individuals to support our school culture and model strong leadership skills , while facilitating classroom lessons and activities for elementary students in Grade 3.
Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching assigned classes;
• Attending weekly collaboration meetings;
• Supervising classes as assigned;
• Monitoring student activity and behavior.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruct grade 3 students on an online and/or classroom setting;
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials designed to meet needs of students;
• Assess students' abilities according to their performance on criterion-referenced assessments, authentic assessments and instructional objectives;
• Promote maximum student intellectual and physical development;
• Facilitate student opportunity to learn;
• Communicate frequently with students regarding their academic and social learning;
• Guide and direct student academic development;
• Monitor student progress;
• Participate in all staff and department meetings as assigned;
• Participate in all professional development as assigned;
• Fulfill non-instructional duties as assigned by the Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Elementary Education or related
• NYS Teaching Certification in applicable subject area(s)
• NYSED Fingerprint Background Clearance
• Prior classroom teaching experience is preferred

Pay: From $39,500.00 per year
