POSITION: DAILY SUBSTITUTE TEACHING ASSISTANT
LEVEL: Elementary Building
APPT. TYPE: Substitute, 4 Days per Week
STARTING DATE: ASAP
ENDING DATE: June 24, 2021
QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Teaching Certificate or NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate
SALARY RANGE: Substitute Teacher Pay Schedule

DESCRIPTION: The Daily Certified Substitute Teaching Assistant will be assigned as needed as a substitute for instructional staff under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher(s) who are responsible for the students' instruction. Reports to the building principal.

2. Working knowledge of the literacy and numeracy needs of students PreK-6;
3. Willingness to adapt to an existing curriculum model as well as contribute ideas to enhance the academic programs;

6. Able to maximize student effort and success both academically and socially;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Able to organize and prioritize daily schedule and duties.
2. Performs related duties as required or assigned by administration.
3. Manage the classroom in a positive manner and keep students engaged, on task, and collaborative;
4. Attend and participate in team and faculty meetings, educational conferences, and workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence;
5. Perform any other duties as assigned by a Supervisor /
