    Primary Functions (Job Goal)

    This position will provide district-wide coaching to teachers in large and small group settings for grades Pk-8. The Ed Tech Coordinator will facilitate professional learning conversations on a variety of topics including integration strategies for technology and digital learning aligned to the curriculum.

    Reports To (accountability)

    Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Professional Development

    Qualifications / Local Requirements
    • Illinois Professional Educator License
    • Experience in ESL programming with ESL endorsement beneficial
    • Masters Degree in an educationally related field (curriculum, educational technology or content area - e.g., reading, language arts, etc.).
    • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
    • Possession of clear vision for and a consistent demonstration of integration of technology into classroom curricula through best models instructional practice.
    • Ability and willingness to work independently in flexible environments with short timeline requirements.
    • Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in team situations.
    • Experience in group facilitation, planning, problem solving, coaching and other leadership activities.
    • High degree of approachability, accessibility, responsibility and follow-through on projects.
    • Willingness to contribute to cultural diversity for educational enrichment.
    • Demonstrated success using Differentiated Instruction in an elementary classroom setting.
    • Previous experience in the selection and use of instructional hardware and software (i.e., Google Apps for Education).
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education Designee may find appropriate and acceptable.

    Term of Employment

    12 Months - Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education
