Position Objectives:

Provides strategic planning, leadership, administrative oversight, and overall programmatic direction for the Emily Griffith Technical College Apprenticeship Program. Responsible for program development and accountability, working closely with site administrators, agencies, faculty and staff to ensure program goals and objectives are met. Supports the growth and advancement of apprenticeship sites through the development and delivery of services reflective of shared academic mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions and Objectives:

-Researches, strategizes and defines program architecture, projects, priorities, activities and operational procedures to continually draw incremental benefits of the program, in alignment with governance requirements and the overall program goals and objectives.

-Remains knowledgeable of, plans for, communicates and coordinates regulatory compliance activities with school and other support services departments.

-Directs, administers, and evaluates program operations, policies and procedures relevant to the lifecycle of the program.

-Supervises day-to-day operations and implementation of strategic planning and leadership initiatives in support and development of apprenticeship programs in various trades and disciplines.

-Facilitates and participates as an active leader with site administrators to ensure development and implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) and shared vision and mission, as directed by the site directors and staff.

-Oversees programs, faculty and curriculum development and implementation; ensures instructional environments are regularly assessed and perceived as high quality while meeting state and federal regulations and college accreditation standards.

-Collaborates with site training directors to support and credential apprenticeship faculty; coordinates with the sites to conduct faculty and program evaluations and support curriculum development and evaluation in the instructional areas.

-Monitors and assures apprenticeship program and site compliance with state and federal regulations, college policies, apprenticeship requirements, and specific industry licensure and certificate requirements.

-Supports the preparation, ongoing analysis and processing of the program budget, revenue, and expenditures, including data collection and reporting; analyzes various data sets to develop and implement strategic programming and course scheduling with the goal of supporting the apprenticeship sites, maximizing revenue, and assuring course development and implementation.

-Collaborates with state agencies, site administrators and regional business leadership partners to identify and implement strategies to develop and expand the programs to meet community and business needs.

-Collaborates with professional businesses, industry partners and community organizations to build, maintain and develop strategic partnerships and ensure program currency; participates in regional trade site and union events, work groups and activities where appropriate.

Education Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree Related field (Instruction preferred)

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

-Knowledge of program management best practices.

-Seasoned instructor and administrator who is passionate about Career and Technical Education (CTE) and workforce education.

-Ability to supervise and support faculty in areas of classroom management, instructional design, instructional practices, curriculum development, and assessment.

-Thought leader in educational good practice as demonstrated by professional organization membership, conference attendance, speaking engagements, publications, etc.

- Demonstrated ability to be organized, articulate, and can manage multiple priorities.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively dealing with a broad range of individuals at various levels within an organization.

-Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals, establish priorities and organize resources.

-Inspired visionary who can foster/generate excitement, buy-in and understanding with colleagues and employees outside of the team.

-High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

-Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and/or Project Management Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
