The Concession Stand Manager at Cupples Stadium is a contracted position from August - December of each year. The successful candidate will organize, purchase and sell items at the concession stand at Cupples Stadium based on the Healthy Food Policy as set forth from the Pittsburgh Public Schools. The Manager will work all football games at the stadium and other athletic and general events as needed. The Manager will also serve as the supervisor of the student workers of the stand, including staffing and scheduling. The Manager will reconcile all concession stand receipts, reports, make deposits to the bank and ensure that all equipment and the facility meets the Allegheny County Health Code.

Salary: $13.5/hour

Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor?s Degree in food service or a related profession preferred.

- Must have knowledge and experience in food program operations in terms of preparation and accountability.

- Must be able to read, comprehend and perform written and oral instructions.

- Must be a certified food handler.

- Previous work in food service, monitoring paperwork, entering time sheets, preparing orders and food accountability is preferred.

- Act 168 Misconduct Disclosure, Act 34 Background Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Background Check, and FBI Clearances required. Health appraisal including TB test must be submitted.

- Required to complete the ServSafe certification class and take/pass the exam.

Essential Job Functions :
1. Work all football games (Thursday ? Saturday) as schedule dictates. Hours are typically: 3pm - 10pm.

2. Work/staff post-season athletic events as scheduled.

3. Work/staff PPS Band Festival ? Occurs typically on a Saturday in October of each year.

4. Work/staff events where concession stand usage is requested by a permit holder.

5. In conjunction with the Director of Interscholastic Athletics, interview and hire student concession stand workers.

6. Inventory and maintain appropriate amounts of items needed to run a successful concession stand.

7. Order appropriate amounts of items (food, cups, drinks, etc.) needed to run a successful concession stand.

8. Train student concession stand workers in appropriate food service handling processes.

9. Schedule concession stand workers.

10. In conjunction with the Director of Interscholastic Athletics, discipline student concession stand workers as needed.

11. Reconcile all concession stand receipts and forwards bills to the Secretary of Interscholastic Athletics for payment.

12. Report and make deposits of concession stand proceeds. Forward deposit receipts to the Secretary of Interscholastic Athletics.

13. Report, in a timely manner, any broken equipment to the Director of Interscholastic Athletics for repair.

14. Submit timesheets/payroll of student concession stand workers to Secretary of Interscholastic Athletics for payment.
