Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as a Talent Acquisition Intern. This internship position (approximately May-August or earlier) will report directly to the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning and will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team, our school leaders, and our candidates.

NHA is a charter school management company that operates 90 schools across nine states serving over 60,000 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Founded in 1995 and based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, NHA is one of the nation's leading for-profit charter school management organizations.

In this role you will work out of our corporate headquarters (Service Center) located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The NHA Service Center is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. With a diverse group of departments like admissions, talent acquisition, facilities, legal services, and many more working together to provide top level support to our schools. Your Role

  • Responsible for advertising current openings on NHA's website and external job boards.
  • Reviewing applications for current openings.
  • Conducting phone interviews with candidates.
  • Extending offers for school support positions.
  • Inputting and updating information into different system.
  • Working in partnership with other departments on various aspects of the role.
  • Delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in business, human resources, or related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and in a team setting
  • Experience with different technology to be productive and efficient; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is desired and the ability to learn other recruitment software
