About this role...

As a Social Media Marketing Coordinator , you will be responsible for creating highly effective communications for distribution across NWEA's social media channels . You will manage the day-to day operational duties for our organic social media and collaborate with demand generation stakeholders to drive paid social tactics aligned to campaign goals. For this role, you should h ave a strong comprehension of what makes an effective social media post and campaign and be able to concept, create, and deploy communications on social. With the role's emphasis on copywriting and community management for our brand channels, this person should be ready to step into our brand voice to talk to our audience on a daily basis. This is a temporary , part-time position with initial assignment duration of approximately 4 to 6 months with possibility for extension. Your next challenge...

  • Creating conversion-inspiring content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest
  • Leverages understanding of brand identity, captures brand voice and tone, and adheres to branding guidelines
  • Working with creative services team to represent brand visually on social media
  • Owning the daily posting and conversation on brand social media channels
  • Jumping into new and ongoing social media campaigns to develop and deploy them, working with our Senior Social Media Manager and stakeholders throughout the organization
Traits for success...
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing
  • Hands-on experience with social media channel management
  • Deep understanding of copywriting for social media
  • Flawless writing and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based applications, Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, and digital and interactive production

Education and experience ...
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or journalism; or an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 1-2 years' experience in social media management is highly desired
  • Successful track record of increased engagement with audiences across social media channels
  • Knowledge of K12 education a plus
