Qualifications:
Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a health-related field. Three years of progressive experience in the provision of services to school-aged children in an educational setting or in a pediatric community health role. Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing. Thorough knowledge of theory, procedures, and practices related to student health and wellness. Knowledge of public health concerns and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies. Ability to collaborate with other child-serving agencies. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the schools and communities. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and reconcile data. Working knowledge of computers and software applications.
