The Curriculum Coordinator plans and coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 9-12 as well as generally oversees the development, implementation and assessment of teacher developed customized lessons, activities, assessments, and tools for these grades.

Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 9-12; Monitors the implementation and evaluation of these objectives;
  • Plans and oversees teacher development and implementation of customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades including special populations; Evaluates effectiveness of the material;
  • Coordinates instructional supports for curriculum;
  • Mentors/acts as a resource to teachers by providing expertise and ongoing support; Conducts curriculum meetings as required;
  • Helps manage/advise on the curriculum course selections;
  • Attends curriculum and other professional conferences.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Attach MI teaching cert to your K12 profile docs as a PDF or JPG.
  • Must commute to Lansing office 1x per month after Covid
  • Bachelor’s degree AND
  • Three (3) year of teaching experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: Valid MI Teaching Certificate

Other Required Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of state standards
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing curriculum and assessment
  • Project management experience
  • Experience teaching or leading in an online setting
