Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a 12-month Administrative Assistant to the Principal for the 2021-2022 school year.

Description:
The Administrative Assistant to the Principal is a full-time, N-Staff, 12-month position. The job goal is to support the Principal in the effective and efficient functioning of all facets of the operation of the Main Office and job-related duties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain a professional, friendly, and positive atmosphere in the Main Office. The primary responsibilities include organization and management of the Main Office and Receptionist areas, while carrying out duties that are assigned by the Principal in the day ­to ­day operation of the building. The Principal's Assistant must be efficient, self directed and precise in carrying out these responsibilities. The Principal's Assistant must also maintain a professional confidentiality pertaining to information and materials that are handled in the office.

The Administrative Assistant to the Principal will prepare written communication on behalf of the Principal, prepare and oversee publications such as Executive Summary, Programs for Jr. and Sr. Awards Ceremonies, prepare special mailings as designated by the Principal, prepare and maintain records and reports as necessary including, budgets, P­-card
reconciliation sheets, timesheets, staff attendance, form submission, field trips, final exams, travel forms and reimbursement paperwork. The Administrative Assistant will maintain the Principal's calendar and appointment schedule, maintain a calendar of events and keeps the Principal informed of important activities and events, oversee office organization including mail, office supplies, records and facility scheduling, including Open House Evenings, Incoming Freshman Orientation evenings, Freshman/Parent Lunches with Principal, Junior Awards Ceremony, Senior Awards Ceremony and End of Semester/End of Year Super Pat programs.

Qualifications:
Qualifications include but are not limited to: high school or college degree; excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of office technology and procedures; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Docs preferred; the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community; and the ability to work productively in an active environment.
