Job Description
Library Paraeducator at Northeast Primary School.
We seek an experienced, energetic, library/media paraeducator to serve Northeast Primary School commencing August 2021.
The successful candidate will assist the library media specialist in the delivery of library, media, and information technology services to students and staff at Northeast Primary School. The assistant helps to manage a library/media collection, supervises the space, and works directly with students and teachers to serve their progress toward meeting proficiencies in the school-wide curriculum. Experience in the use of laptop computers and other developmentally appropriate student technology is a must. The work can range daily from clerical support for the collection, maintenance of a productive learning space, lifting and some cleaning, consulting with teachers on available resources, and assisting students to further their learning in whole class, small group and/or individual settings.
Experience as an instructional para-educator or the equivalent strongly preferred. Associates Degree or two years post-secondary education is required.
