SY 21-22
Job Functions and Responsibilities
1.Create a classroom environment that is safe, conducive to learning, and encourages students to take risks in their learning.
2.Prepare lessons that reflect best practices and accommodations for individual differences of students.
3.Encourage students to take ownership of their learning goals and process.
4.Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and communicate these objectives to the students
5.Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, the physical limitations of the space provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
6.Strive to implement College Achieve's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
7.Assess student learning, through observations, authentic performance, and more formal methods, in an ongoing manner, providing frequent student feedback, information to parents and written progress reports.
8.Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
9.Participate in all professional development opportunities.
10.Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and community members.
11.Performs other related tasks as assigned by the building Administrator and other central office administrators as designated by College Achieve Public Schools.
Qualifications
Education
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Certification
•New Jersey State Certification with Subject Matter Specialization
