GENERAL PURPOSE

Virtual Learning opportunities are provided through Launch virtual courses, designed and developed by Springfield Public Schools. Launch serves full-time enrollments within the district as well as supplemental per-course opportunities. Launch also provides online course services to the state of Missouri. The Coordinator V - Digital Learning will oversee the support of online educators, student support services for Launch and collaboration with regional partners.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serve as a member of the Launch leadership team for the purpose of establishing programming, creation of processes and procedures for virtual learning.

Coordinates district and regional online learning opportunities for students and staff.

Collaborates with district and regional leaders to develop online learning systems and processes to effectively maintain virtual learning opportunities.

Participates in meetings, processes, and professional learning for the purpose of implementing and maintaining high-quality virtual learning opportunities.

Positively interacts with district and partner staff for the purpose of promoting virtual learning environments.

Supports districts with onboarding to Launch, systems and supports development and real-time partner needs.

Seeks feedback from regional districts for the purpose of informing best-practices for student support.

Coordinate process improvement for all student support services provided by Launch for the purpose of providing high quality support to staff and students.

Collaborate with various Launch departments including, but not limited to Information Technology,

student services, partner and engagement teams.

Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Masters degree in educational administration or educational leadership, required.

Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Missouri Educator Certification, required.

Missouri Principal Certification, preferred.

Ability to gain and maintain "Highly Qualified" status as defined by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, required.

Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.

Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: appropriate codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; age appropriate activities; lesson plan requirements; stages of child development; and behavioral management strategies.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.

The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Must possess the physical ability to work primarily with fingers, perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
