Superintendent of Schools – Pennsbury School District

The Board of School Directors for the Pennsbury School District is seeking an experienced, student-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The future Superintendent will embrace our proud traditions and diverse community while driving the district to best prepare our students for a successful future in a global society.

Our Pennsbury Community

Located in southeast Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the Pennsbury School District is home to an economically-diverse community of residents ranging from industrial workers to professionals who commute daily to New York City, Princeton, and Philadelphia. The District covers 41.7 square miles and is comprised of four municipalities: Falls Township, Lower Makefield Township, Tullytown Borough, and Yardley Borough. With an enrollment of approximately 9,979, the Pennsbury School District currently has ten elementary schools (K-5), three middle schools (6-8), and one high school with two campus buildings.

Superintendent Candidates

Applications are due on or before February 14, 2021 with the successful candidate to start on or before July 1, 2021. Our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and our community stakeholders
• Excellence in academics, instruction, and technical education
• A strong comprehension of school safety protocols
• Their commitment to social and emotional learning

Position Requirements

• PA Letter of Eligibility
• Doctorate preferred
• Superintendent experience preferred
• Central office experience required

Compensation

A regionally competitive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.

Qualified applicants will also be expected to submit all required clearances including Act 24 (PDE Form 6004), Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, a PA Health Form, and a TB Test.
