Role Mission: IDEA's Graphic Designer is responsible for stewarding IDEA's brand through the conceptualization, design, execution, and production of design services. S/he will support print and online organizational requests with a firm understanding of user experience and user centered design. The Graphic Designer will work on the Marketing, Communications and Enrollment Team under the advisement of the Director of Creative Services. 


Enhance IDEA Public Schools' brand.

  • Innovate and brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  • Identify and generate ideas and concepts, ensuring a culture of innovation and experimentation
  • Fulfill a multitude of creative requests ranging from print to digital ads.
  • Survey creative materials and update essentials for the organization such as the organization PowerPoint, Letterheads, Business Card, and more.
  • Support IDEA's Marketing Project Manager with development of templates available for the organization

Support IDEA's Topline Fundraising Goals by:
  • Conceptualizing and designing collateral for events from save the date to the day of the event.
  • Partnering with our Advancement team on fundraising events and supporting collateral such as the Annual Report
  • Collaborate with the different areas of the marketing department, as well as other departments within the organization
  • Seek opportunities to improve existing processes and implement new technology
  • Build and maintain high quality relationships with all internal & external partners
  • Must be self-motivated, organized and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing

Ensure IDEA Public Schools' brand is carried through our event experiences and ensure 100% of IDEA's direct-response campaigns  achieve its KPIs through the development of multi-medium campaigns:
  • Conceptualize and design collateral for events from save the date to the day of the event.
  • Partnering with our Advancement team on fundraising events and collateral
  • Collaborate with the different areas of the marketing department, as well as other departments within the organization
  • Seek opportunities to improve existing processes and implement new technology
  • Build and maintain high quality relationships with all internal & external partners
  • Must be self-motivated, organized and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Developing supporting marketing collateral. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Door Hangers
    • Flyers
    • Brochures
    • Digital Ads
    • E-Marketing Campaigns
    • Landing Pages
    • Billboards

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years design experience in print and digital design with a focus in marketing
  • Must include a portfolio displaying a variety of design work
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite particularly in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Video Filming and/or editing skills using Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or Communication encouraged, but not required

Compensation: Salaries for people starting this role typically start between $47,600 and $56,200, commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational goal attainment.
