Our Essex High School is seeking a full-time long-term substitute Business Education teacher to teach three sections of Computers and Careers for the third quarter of the 2020-21 school year (1/27/21 - 4/21/21). This position may be extended through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Pays $260/day.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Holds, or is eligible to hold, a valid VT Educator license with a Business Education endorsement (2-03). We will also consider individuals with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, related business background and willingness to obtain a provisional license.
- Strong background in business computer applications.
- Understanding of the importance of social and emotional learning (SEL) and how to integrate SEL in the delivery of the Business curriculum.
- Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students.
- Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to the success of ALL students, and ability to understand and teach to the various learning styles of students.
- The ability to effectively engage students.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the student population being served and how demographic variables impact student achievement, and effectively uses this knowledge to effectively design and delivery instruction.
- Effective integrates transferable skills into the learning environment.
