Duties:
Rindge Avenue Upper Campus is looking to hire a full time building substitute, starting immediately. That person will fill in for teachers as needed, ensuring students follow the learning plan that the teacher will create. If there are no teachers absent, the building substitute will be an additional resource for students and administration, which might include providing in-class support as appropriate, supporting walks outside for a student who might need a break, or supervising the hallway and transitions. As with our expectation for all adults, we expect the building sub to model adherence to all COVID safety protocols and treat all members of our community__students and adults, with respect and dignity. We are looking for someone who is flexible, collaborative, excited to work with students, and enjoys the beautiful and sometimes chaotic energy of middle schoolers. We are all on a journey this year to make education as meaningful as possible in the midst of a challenging and ever changing reality. If you would like to join us on this journey, please apply!
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher required. Teaching experience in an urban setting with multicultural student populations. Good collaborative skills for working with collaborating teachers, staff and parents.
