The Financial Reporting Analyst will serve as the department expert on the Oracle Cloud reporting set of tools and will be responsible for training other users to utilize and leverage these tools. The Financial Reporting Analyst will develop, deploy, and maintain financial reports with a focus on delivering consistent, accurate, and timely information.

Your Role

  • Works with finance teammates to understand evolving statutory financial reporting requirements for states, authorizers, etc. and develops reports and tools to meet these requirements.
  • Works to understand the internal financial reporting needs of the organization and transform the delivery of financial information utilizing self-service dashboards, reports, and queries to the extent practical.
  • Creates custom reports and queries using Oracle Cloud reporting, Microsoft Excel, and Global Software's Spreadsheet Server tools to support all teams within the department. Assists with enhancement and troubleshooting of current reports and queries.
  • Monitors chart of account changes and maintains reports and reporting rollup hierarchies in Oracle Cloud.
  • Serves as the reporting tool expert within the Financial Services team and acts as a resource for other Financial Services team members to improve knowledge and utilization of the capabilities of Oracle Cloud's reporting and analytic tools, as appropriate.
  • Educates end users of financial reporting tools and develops support and training documents, as necessary.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and consistency through system solutions.
  • Works to understand reporting obstacles and limitations and looks to improve outcomes by working with Financial Systems Analysts and other Financial Services team members to evaluate the root cause, explore options, and recommend solutions.
  • Able to balance a complex working environment and manage priorities effectively based on business needs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years of experience preparing financial reports.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP & EPM highly desired, with previous experience utilizing Oracle's suite of reporting tools (Narrative Reporting, Management Reporting, OTBI, Smart View).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, including an understanding of how to develop, troubleshoot, and maintain macros.
  • Strong analytical skills, finely tuned attention to detail, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
