    Position Summary
    • Greenwich CT Public Schools is seeking a certified f/t 1.0 experienced French teacher who will be responsible for teaching French (levels 1 & 2) at Western Middle School
    • Fluency in English and oral/written French required.
    • Professional experience in French instruction at the secondary level preferred.
    Responsibilities
    • Focus on building students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills aligned to the World Readiness Standards for Learning Languages
    • Work collaboratively with building-based and WL program-based colleagues to support students' linguistic needs in French
    • Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning
    • Modify where appropriate instructional methods and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
    • Learn and use technology to enhance teaching where appropriate
    • Evaluate student performance consistently
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress
    WorkYear and Compensation
    Work year is based on 187 days, salary based on appropriate GEA salary level.
    Qualifications:
    • Graduation from accredited college or university.
    • CT certification in World Language (French), 7 - 12 required
    • Ability to personalize learning in a blended learning environment
    • Knowledge of best practices in World Language instruction
    • Strong communication skills
