Job Description
INTERIM HUMAN CAPITAL SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

JOB GOALS:
1.To assure the smooth efficient operation of the Human Capital Services Department, so as to maximize a positive impact on the education of students.
2.To contribute to effective school public relations in the Human Capital Services Department by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors.
3.To complete the confidential work essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Human Capital Services Department.
4. Assist with special projects related to COVID-19

SPECIAL PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist HCS Office and Office of Health Services with processing of COVID related leaves/absences.
2. Communicate with staff and families on COVID related inquiries.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for administration of Human Capital Services programs, policies, processes and procedures.
2.Responsible for processing of new hire paperwork and processing of substitute applicants.
3.Maintain an efficient and well organized electronic and paper data collection and filing systems, including confidential personnel and medical files.
4.Create forms, and compile and organize data and information necessary for the efficient operation of the office, the completion of required District and State data collections.
5.Process evaluations for all district employees. Also responsible for making sure that they are placed in their personnel files.
6.Process all verifications that come in through the mail or via telephone for current and past employees including Unemployment Benefits case management.
7.Work cooperatively with staff in other offices with the completion of large or time sensitive projects or emergencies.
8.answers and responds appropriately to inquiries regarding District policies, procedures, benefits, and/or requests for information.
9.Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screens unexpected callers in accordance with predetermined policy.
10. District administration of substitute calling system
11.Other duties as assigned by the Office of Human Capital Services

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: 1.At least one (1) year of Human Resources experience strongly preferred. 2.Respect for confidentiality of all information is essential. 3.Knowledge of FMLA, MPLA, SNLA, ADA, CORI's, and Workers Compensation strongly preferred. 4.Must demonstrate an ability to maintain a professional office atmosphere. 5.Must be self-motivated and flexible with an ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision. 6.Must demonstrate strong skills in both written and verbal communications 7.Must be able to handle multiple tasks and pay strict attention to detail. 8.Must demonstrate an ability to effectively interact with staff, applicants and the community. 9.Must demonstrate an ability to maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and supervisors based upon respect and commitment. 10.Demonstration of a strong work ethic is essential. 11.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and MUNIS. An independent willingness to upgrade skills as necessary is expected. 12.Excellent attendance record is essential. Terms of Employment: This is a non-union position. Work Year: This is an interim position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2021 Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Work Hours: 35 hour work week (8 hour work day/1 hour unpaid lunch) 8 AM - 4 PM Start Date: Immediately
