Date Needed: Approximately January 11 - February

Salary Range: $22.00 per hour

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Manages school COVID cases as assigned by the COVID Lead/Team Director and in alignment with the operation plan of the COVID Response Team as well as the DPS Infectious Disease Process

  • Work closely with school leaders, COVID coordinators, and school nurses to support them in responding to a reported positive COVID case from either a student or staff.


  • Work with DDPHE to report the positive case and implement public health actions (such as assigning quarantines) as directed by DDPH.


  • Work with school team to communicate positive case to impacted individuals and broader school community as aligned with the operational plan of the COVID Response Team and the DPS Infectious Disease Process.


  • Collaborate with other COVID Response Team members and COVID Health Working Group members to respond to school COVID cases.


  • Develop expertise in the processes and protocols related to COVID crisis response for both students and staff.


  • Collect and log data on all COVID cases managed; ensure accuracy and integrity of the data.


  • Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to the COVID Lead/Team Direct.


  • Participate in twice daily team huddles (morning, late afternoon) at a minimum.


  • Requires knowledge of school operations, could include nursing license and health expertise though not required.


  • Willingness to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment necessary.


  • Ability to manage and de-escalate crises necessary.


  • Attention to detail is a must.


  • Must be solutions oriented and have a customer service mindset.


  • All work will be completed virtually. Phone, computer and internet access are required.


Education Requirements:\n
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
