About this role...

As an Executive Account Manager , representing Private Schools within our NWEA Partner Accounts group, you will be responsible for acquiring new Partners, managing and growing an assigned group of existing NWEA Partners by building long-term relationships, and increasing NWEA's leadership position in an assigned geography. In the Executive Account Manager role, you will work with a regional team, led by a Director of Partner Accounts , focused on reaching new Partners and maintain account management responsibility for these Partners (among others), once acquired.

Your key areas of work include identifying and building long-term relationships in targeted accounts, lead development and qualification, acquiring new NWEA Partners, managing all annual renewals, optimizing account revenue, expanding the number of students being tested by the district, uncovering needs for new products and services, building relationships with district stakeholders, and establishing a long-term plan for Professional Learning to increase the use and value of their relationship with NWEA. Executive Account Managers will work with the extended NWEA organization, including Marketing and Partner Support to ensure the needs of our Partners are met .
Your next challenge...

  • Drive Lead development, qualification and conversion into opportunities
  • Actively prospect and close opportunities for NWEA Products and Services, including MAP and Professional Learning
  • Ensure that NWEA reaches a high level of account penetration in each account, reaching more kids in all districts within an assigned territory
  • Develop and own a territory strategy to penetrate and grow assigned geographic region
  • Participate in and facilitate Partner participation in informing NWEA product strategies, design, timelines and development
  • Consistently act as a partner advocate, while keeping NWEA mission and objectives in the forefront of all decisions
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of NWEA Products and Services and the education market, including issues, trends, relevant laws and competition; inform Partners about features and benefits of products and services on a regular and proactive basis using consultative sales process
  • Use Salesforce to manage Partner opportunities and pipeline for renewals, expansions and new products and services; keep data accurate, up to date and comprehensive; use Salesforce for Partner, pipeline and Regional reports and dashboards for data to drive Partner activity
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and/or contractual requirements. Accurately process and schedule partner transactions including quotes and orders
  • Travel as required, on average 20%, but may go up to 50%
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization
  • Be the primary NWEA account contact for a portfolio of existing Partners
  • Ensure Partner loyalty and customer satisfaction for retention; establish Partner communication strategy to uncover needs and resolve issues
  • Strategically position new products and services in existing accounts; ultimately driving revenue growth and district expansion
  • Achieve enrollment, expansion, services, and renewal targets as defined by the regional objectives
  • Demonstrate effective lead follow-up into existing accounts as measured by expansion and the use of new products and services
  • Proactively work with region or organization on projects to improve processes that improve the customer experience

  • Ability to successfully manage sales relationships, pipeline and opportunities in CRM system (Salesforce preferred).
  • Exhibit knowledge of education market, school and business operations and functions with ability to have impactful conversations with senior school and district contacts and administrators
  • Effectively work within Partner Accounts team and within NWEA generally

Education and e xperience ...

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in education, business or a related field required
  • Preferred account management and sales experience in the educational market
  • Experience initiating, acquiring and growing large and strategic accounts
  • Extensive account management and sales experience, including experience selling to the educational market, with demonstrated effective communication, presentation and professional relationship-building skills
  • Experience with NWEA products, services, procedures and implementation preferred
  • Deep understanding of K-12 education industry and assessment methods
