Crystal River Elementary School (Carbondale, CO) is seeking applications from dynamic, knowledgeable and innovative teachers to serve part-time through the remainder of 2020-21, with the possibility of employment beyond this school year. Full benefits are incuded. Our teachers ensure that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills and character to thrive in a changing world.
Crystal River Elementary School (CRES) serves a diverse and multilingual student population of 450 PreK- 4th grade students. Teachers at CRES work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement RFSD instructional model, and are supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. CRES seeks a knowledgeable, positive, and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.
CRES's mission is to challenge and inspire all students to develop character skills, reach their academic potential, and become global citizens. Come and help us live by our mission!
Required Qualifications:
*Colorado Teaching License/Authorization (K-6) (or ability to obtain)
Desired Qualifications:
*Elementary primary-grade teaching experience
*Experience teaching a diverse population of students including English Language Learners and previous work with intentionally implementing culturally responsive instruction.
*Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction.
*Training in Orton-Gillingham (OG) basic, and/or advanced levels
*Experience designing and delivering high-quality PBL units
*Bilingual
Desired Core Competencies:
*Openness to coaching, feedback, and reflection in order to continuously improve practices
*Values driven instructional leadership and professionalism.
*Personal ownership and passion for improving outcomes for all learners; a desire to be "excellent" for all of our students
*Desire to collaborate with teammates and others across the school to meet needs of students
