About the Role

We are looking to appoint the Secondary School Principal to start in August 2021 or earlier. The Secondary School Principal will work closely with the Elementary School Principal and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the Academy pursues its vision and meets its educational and development aims. The successful candidate will play a major role in supporting the CEO/Principal in leading the whole school; strategically, operationally and financially.

The Secondary School Principal will provide visionary leadership and the demonstration of exemplary management skills in the assistance of recruitment and development of faculty, the implementation of a superior curriculum, the assurance of long-term School financial stability, and the provision of effective communication with all the School's constituents, as well as ensuring the social well-being and academic growth of all children.

The Secondary School Principal will have overall responsibility for all the policies, decision-making processes and strategic planning involved in the running of the Secondary School. They will lead staff in realising the ethos of the IB learner profile and have high expectations of students and staff, and a positive approach to internationalism, entrepreneurialism and innovation.

The Secondary School Principal will be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of all Academy staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the Academy.

The Secondary School Principal will promote the highest standards of behavior and international and entrepreneurial ethos within the Academy and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the Academy's learning objectives always ensuring best value.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be:

• An effective, dynamic and visible leader with a proven track record in school improvement; moreover, possessing gravitas and presence within a school community.
• Rigorous in promoting excellence and developing commitment to high standards of care and opportunities for all.
• Able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and managing staff, promoting and developing approaches to learning.
• Able to demonstrate a comprehensive and confident knowledge of the IB curriculum.
