New Valley Elementary School - Core/Planning Team

The Kent School District is accepting applications from current in-district KEA members for the following position:

POSITION:
Intermediate Teacher - 1.0 position NVES

Teachers selected for the core/planning team positions will remain in their current assignment through the end of the 2020-2021 school year but will participate throughout the year on the NVES (school name TBD) core/planning team. They will move to the NVES school assignment beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. Interested candidates can apply in TalentEd by the closing date.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a current in-district teacher.
2. Must have the appropriate Washington State certification for the position.
3. Must be a team player and contribute to building a positive school climate.
4. Candidate should be knowledgeable of differing student learning styles.
5. Desired teacher characteristics are: flexibility; ability to organize ideas, time, and materials to accomplish goals; enthusiasm; ability to express ideas clearly and understand concepts being discussed; ability to learn new ideas and skills; ability and willingness to develop favorable relationships with students; knowledge of current approaches to teaching; and willingness to model behavior deemed appropriate by the school district and the community.
