School Psychologist Interns are needed for the 2021-22 school year.

Essential Job Functions: Under the Supervision of a Certified School Psychologist Supervisor, Intern will demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to professional excellence.

Internship experiences will include the following:

• Systems Support
  • Supporting efforts to build a responsive system through MTSSParticipating in building based and district level MTSS activities
  Assessment
  • Engaging in Data Day activities as part of the a larger MTSS systemSelecting appropriate assessment instrumentsConducting assessments appropriatelyInterpreting assessment information accuratelyScreening/referral/evaluation processReporting assessment data in a clear and concise mannerProviding classroom observationsConducting Early Childhood screenings
  Designing Individualized Educational Programs
  • Developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planningFully participating in the IEP process
  Provision of Direct Services
  • Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as neededProviding training for parents and staff as neededParticipating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategiesDemonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques
  Case Management
  • Participating with the building Student Services TeamMonitoring implementation of student I.E.P.sManaging and coordinating required paperwork

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Master's level school psychology program leading toward state certification/licensure

Reports To: School Psychologist Site Supervisor/Assistant Director of Student Services

Salary Range: $16,000 per intern plus single benefits
