  • The Senior Director of Advancement reports to the Vice President of Advancement and directly manages the Advancement staff. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the fundraising plan. The Senior Director is expected to build and nurture long term relationships with private and corporate foundations and individuals, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding current and prospective donors. This position would also manage the logistics of a capital campaign.
    • Manage a team of two staff members: Director of Alumnae and Parent Relations and Database Manager and Advancement Services.
    • Manage a portfolio of 50-75 active prospects and donors who will have the capacity, inclination or history to make a substantial gift ($5,000+) in support of operations and Regina Dominican's strategic fundraising priorities, including a campaign.
    • Manage a level of activity to generate 8-10 face-to-face visits per month leading to growth in the number of annual and major gift solicitations.
    • Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle:
      • Develop appropriate cultivation strategies for each donor
      • Move potential donors in an appropriate time frame towards solicitation and closure.
      • Work in collaboration with the President, Vice President of Advancement and Advancement team, Board of Directors and volunteers.
    • Focus on effective communication (in partnership with the Vice President for Growth) and solicitation activities within specific market segments identified as having potential for the greatest growth.
    Develop a comprehensive annual fund program, including goal setting for alumnae and parent fundraising and work with the Director of Alumnae and Parent Relations to implement it. Set goals for parent and alumnae fundraising with the Vice President of Advancement and plan strategy for donor stewardship, which will be supported by the Database Manager and Advancement Services.
    • Support individual advancement project initiatives, including serve as the Campaign Manager:
      • Oversee the tracking, monitoring and reporting of all campaign cultivation and solicitation efforts
      • Support the campaign fundraising efforts of the President, Vice President for Advancement and the Campaign Steering Committee
      • Oversee Database Manager and Advancement Services research efforts on campaign donors to create comprehensive profiles and briefing memos, in partnership with the Vice President of Advancement
    Requirements:
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
    • Experience in managing people
    • Three to five years successful experience in development
    • Track record of cultivating and securing major and planned gifts
    • Experience working on a capital campaign preferred
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Able to effectively communicate the Mission of the school.
    • Proficient in Blackbaud/Raisers Edge, MS Office, and google platform
