The Essex Westford School District is seeking passionate teachers to serve as a middle school math teacher for our 100% remoting learning students. Position is part-time and temporary for the second half of the 2020-21 school year. Individual selected must be able to provide remote instruction in the mornings for two math classes (grade 6 and grade 7). The selected individuals will need to be certified to teach middle grade math and be effective at teaching remotely. Support and training shall be provided by the Remote Academy Principal. Selected candidates will be teaching remotely.

The ideal candidate will have experience and training in Social and Emotional learning, will be well versed in middle school mathematics theory and practice and possess a strong understanding of the Common Core State Standards. Educators with training and experience with differentiation and/or Universal Design for Learning are ideal. Experience with and understanding of professional collaboration as exemplified by Professional Learning Communities is an essential skill, as is experience with and use of data driven decision making.

EWSD is committed to considering out of state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold license in this state.

Position pays $130/day for those not already teaching in our district.
