Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a full-time, Bilingual Spanish RTi Instructional Coach/Parent Liaison for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Bilingual Spanish RtI Instructional Coach & Parent Liaison will lead and coordinate with the SLP, World Languages, Operations and SST divisions to create enhanced systems to implement targeted academic interventions supporting Spanish speaking students who are receiving ELL services, as well as, students who have exited from ELL services. This will be achieved by:
Providing targeted academic and SEL support to Spanish speaking students within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS); Consulting with content area teachers whose students have exited from EL but still need targeted support to access the core curriculum; Articulating with feeder districts for incoming 8th graders from Spanish speaking homes regardless of whether or not these students are still receiving EL services;
Collaborating with D96 to make visible the collaborative actions as described in the D96/D125 Subgroup Executive Summary; Creating meaningful and trusting connections between Latino families and SHS so that students realize their potential.

The Instructional Coach will provide direct phone, in-person & written communication in the Spanish language to Spanish-speaking parents concerning the following:
* School registration and residency
* Health services
* Transportation services
* Free and Reduced Lunch Services
* KIN and other support services for basic needs
* School Attendance
* E-learning requirements, internet connectivity, etc.
* Outreach with families (sometimes in the evening and weekends
* Accompany Assistant Principal and SRO on home visits
* Alternatives to E-learning when appropriate
* BPAC meetings and events

The Coach will also provide direct oral interpretation services during SST meetings for Spanish-speaking families; Advocate with Spanish-speaking families so they can partner effectively with SHS; Collaborate with SSTs to foster community relationships and partnerships to harness and support students in their basic needs creating the foundation for building school success; Collaborate with the Divisions of Student Learning Programs, Students Services and Division of Operations to maintain program tracking systems within internal program databases; and function as the BPAC secretary.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) with secondary Bilingual Spanish or ELL endorsement.
Strong oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English (required)
Multicultural competency working with students and families. (required)
Understanding of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for Spanish speaking students (preferred.)
2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge of SHS services and surrounding community preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule
