Account Manager, National Accounts

About this role ...

As an NWEA Account Manager within National Accounts , you will be responsible for managing and growing a targeted group of existing NWEA customers (Partners) by building long-term relationships and adding value to the Partner. The responsibilities of this role will include functions currently completed by account managers and senior account managers. Y ou will have goals related to expansions, renewals and services. Y our focus is to ensure Partner retention and sat isfaction, and to drive increased use of NWEA Products and Services to improve our Partners ' ability to help all kids learn . This role will have an account load that includes made up of public charter schools in a specified geographic area. This is a remote-based position for candidates who reside anywhere in the United States , with a preference for candidates who reside in the eastern region of the country. NWEA may fill this position at the Account Manager level, or Senior Account Manager level, depending on your qualifications and years of experience . In the A ccount Manager role, your key areas of work will include:

  • You will grow in your knowledge of our specialized charter school network a rea.
  • May require the sales of non-traditional MAP supported resources.
  • You will have opportunities to present and participate in national conferences/partner events/invited presentations.
  • You will have scheduled travel to our curr ent pa rtner sites as well as conferences , with up to 20% travel
  • You may have additional responsibilities that arise as part of the team effort to help all kids learn

Education and experience...

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or a related field is required
  • 2 to 4 years of account management experience or the equivalent in leadership experience with demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
  • A ccount management experience within the K-12 education market highly preferred
  • U nderstanding of K-12 education industry and a ssessment methods preferably in the charter school sector.
  • Experience with NWEA products and services is preferred


About the Partner Accounts, National Accounts team...

NWEA's Partner Accounts group within our District division is comprised of over 1 2 0 professionals whose mission is to reach local education agencies with our products and services. Structured in strategic teams, the Partner Accounts group is comprised of the following: U.S. District Accounts; Strategic Accounts; National A ccounts, Int ernational Accounts, Sales O perations, Proposals and Program Management. This role joins the National Accounts team.

The National Accounts team is responsible for supporting NWEA partnerships with Charter schools and Charter Management networks across the country. In addition to supporting charter school entities, we support non-traditional national partnerships that have an interest in using NWEA data to drive decision making, develop data driven programs and support accountability interests. The right candidate will join a successful cohesive team of professionals with a proven track record in bringing innovative and flexible educational options to life.
