Qualifications:
Education - Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in providing school health screening services preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to implement health screening procedures, i.e., vision screening using the Keystone telebinocular machine, scoliosis screening, and/or teaching first aid. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Skills in using health screening instruments or equipment, especially proper use of telebinocular machine; must complete both segments of a telebinocular workshop. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, and to use tact and good judgment. Ability to keep accurate records. Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Ability to assist in providing inservice training, e.g., vision and first aid as needed.
Ability to travel to schools throughout the district. Ability to work with bilingual students. Ability to work with special needs children. Ability to work independently with indirect supervision. Bilingual skills preferred. Computer skills as required for the position.
Salary Range: $25,878 - $39,668
