    Title: Behavior Support Coordinator

    Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Operating knowledge of computers
  • Experience in working with school age children in a school and/or afterschool capacity.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual, English and Spanish

    Reports To: Principal and/or designee

    Goal: Supervise, monitor, and instruct in restorative, social emotional learning model to support skill-based discipline practices, including collaboration with teachers, administrators, and school staff to support decreased recidivism.

    Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Applicant should have knowledge of school and classroom rules, procedures and practices.
  • Applicant must have the ability to interpret and establish appropriate rules, methods and techniques in maintaining a disciplined academic environment.
  • Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant must have experience working with students and knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.


  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision for students who are assigned for corrective discipline.
  • Monitor and support academic instruction as needed. Ensure assignments are returned to sending teachers.
  • Maintain attendance records and behavioral data tracking, analyzing trends and implementing remedial actions.
  • Implement social emotional learning intervention curriculum, including assigning lessons, monitoring progress, and providing scaffolded support in learning.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Leader in Residence and building principal to support student reintegration into classes.
  • Connect students assigned to program with counseling supports as needed.
  • Support positive school climate through district initiatives.
  • Participate in all assigned trainings to support development of program.
