Portland Public Schools (PPS) is seeking talented people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to lead change and inspire PPS students. To achieve our vision, we want someone who has a demonstrated commitment to building relationships with multiple stakeholders, and the experience to authentically engage with families and school communities to resolve concerns in an equitable and consistent manner.   The liaison will be tasked with working with school administrators to investigate, address, and resolve parent and/or community concerns by acting as a conduit between families and school personnel.  We strongly encourage you to apply if you have five or more years in public education or community organizing, experience working with racially and linguistically diverse communities, and possess a Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or a related field. Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of leadership and administrative practices
  • Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution strategies or techniques 
  • Two years as a building administrator or three years of teaching experience 
  • Knowledge of Public school administration, curriculum, and special education services
