GRANTS MANAGER
CENTRAL OFFICE
Description:
The Grants Writer is responsible for writing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating grants. The Grants Writer has, or is eligible for, certification as an Intermediate Administrator.
Essential Functions:
- Develops all Title I, II, III and IV grants, Priority Schools, Alliance and other Grants, as assigned, in consultation with the central office and school administrators
- Monitors grants and assures compliance with all local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the grant program under his/her direction
- Evaluates all grants and makes recommendations to the Central Office based on these evaluations
- Prepares reports as required by federal, state and/or local authorities
- Maintains current and accurate financial records related to grant funded programs
- Makes periodic reports to the Board of Education
- Assists building principals in using achievement data and other factors in planning to allocate funds
- Develops and oversees Perkins Grant
- Works in close collaboration with the Finance Department
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Makes periodic site visits to the schools and other locations where the grant-funded programs are housed, observing activities and conferring with the stakeholders, ensuring consistency with grant goals and compliance with all requirements
- Participate in meetings with governmental agencies and other entities that oversee grant compliance
- Prepare all necessary documentation required for grant audits and other reviews
- Represent the district during grant audits and other reviews
- Continue to be informed about district initiatives involving teaching and learning
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- School administrator experience at the school level required
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education
- Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Demonstrated commitment to issues of diversity and multicultural curriculum
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to leadership, performance and professional growth
- Bilingual candidates preferred
Evaluation:
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions set forth by the Norwalk Board of Education
Days: Monday Friday

Salary: $100,00.00
