The Academy of the Holy Names is an independent, Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Assistant Director of Admissions

Employment Opportunity: The Academy of the Holy Names seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a full-time, 12-month position commencing in January of 2021. The Assistant Director assists in the daily operations of the Admissions Office, which includes assisting in the student enrollment process from inquiries, admissions process, to assimilation into the school's culture. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Admissions.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors or master's degree
2. Exhibits superior communication skills, both written and verbal
3. Proficient with computer programs like Excel, Word, and Veracross (Preferable)
4. 3+ years' experience in admissions, preferably in an independent school setting or similar
5. Support the mission and goals of the Sisters of the Holy Names and the initiatives set forth by the AHN Board of Trustees

Position Responsibilities:
1. Respond to all new student inquiries with the goal of building external relationships designed to attract students who are within the Academy student profile.
2. Maintain appropriate admission statistics and evaluate to monitor the effectiveness of the admissions process.
3. Keep appropriate records throughout the enrollment process within the database, Veracross.
4. Establish recruitment strategies to draw and keep new families.
5. Work with the Director of Admissions to establish, maintain, and evaluate appropriate systems to facilitate family visits, student testing, and interviewing.
6. Provide tours of campus - both individual and group.
7. Educate and enlist faculty and staff to assist where needed in the admission process.
8. Coordinate the selection of and training of the student ambassadors.
9. Work with the Director of Admissions to schedule and plan Open House.
10. Alternate with the Director of Admissions in presenting the school to potential students at elementary schools, church services, and other such gatherings
11. In conjunction with the Director of Admissions and the administrative staff, evaluate applicants for admission.
12. Assist in any additional duties the Director of Admissions may need.
