Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School District 233 — located in Flossmoor, Ill. — seeks a Director of Information Technology for the 2021-22 school year. The Director of Information Services ensures our technology infrastructure and resources support the innovative learning environment at Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233. While the Director will oversee the entire network system, district technology plan, and the administration of special programs, support is provided by additional technology personnel. The Director:

• Facilitates the enrollment process and plans, implements, and supports all areas of integration of information technology including, but not limited to, the Student Information Systems.
• Coordinates the use and accessibility of email, websites, social media, web tools, and all other forms of technology communication.
• Applies and maintains systems and tools for gathering, mining, integrating and reporting data in useful ways.
• Maintains databases that are necessary for the completion and submission of required reports and processes to the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Implements practices and systems to ensure the privacy and security of all technology systems.

The preferred candidate will have a successful record in administrative and/or leadership positions, as well as a demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of students. He or she must:

• Have the ability to effectively lead teachers, support staff and administration.
• Have a demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and initiatives, as well as develop and manage a budget.

• Initiate and model active and collaborative leadership across departments/programs.
• Develop and recommend policies, programs and procedures.
• Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Master’s degree from a nationally accredited college or university
 Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in a school setting
