The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is seeking an educational leader who values working with passionate educators and loves working with students to fill our Principal position at Camels Hump Middle School. CHMS is a grades 5-8 school located in beautiful, scenic Richmond, Vermont. The school maintains a dedicated faculty and a caring, safe school culture. We’re looking for an individual with middle level teaching and administrative experience and a well developed vision for education. Candidates must have a solid understanding of middle school philosophy and standards based instruction with a focus on the developmental needs of students in grades 5 through 8. We’re looking for a leader to guide our school to new levels of academic excellence and achievement while honoring the systems in place to ensure that every child has an equal chance for success.
With strong and supportive community involvement, Camels Hump Middle School serves approximately 330 students in the heart of eastern Chittenden County. Halfway between Burlington and Montpelier, in the Winooski River Valley, with breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking and various other outdoor opportunities, local culture and the arts abound.
