The Federal Grant and Assessment Director will work in-office to identify, monitor, and oversee Federal Grant awards and help facilitate analysis of academic and student data. The Federal Grant and Assessment Director will attend monthly Board meetings as needed and serve as the primary data analyst for school accountability frameworks. This is an 11 month position.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Create & maintain Middle School program Interim and State data tracking system
  • Monitor and calculate chronic absenteeism, graduation, dropout rates, and other State calculations
  • Work with Testing Coordinator, Instructional Coaches, and Administrative team to analyze data
  • Present relevant academic data at board meetings
  • Monitor and report NSPF and SPCSA Framework requirements, information, and data
  • Monitor & report State and Charter news, updates, and regulations
  • Assist in developing academic data presentations for state and authority reporting, including bi-annual legislative sessions
  • Present data at monthly NVVA board meetings
  • Organize and gather artifacts needed for school accountability compliances, accreditation, and Academic Plan
  • Pursue, oversee, monitor, and update yearly Federal Grant awards/programs along with admin team
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities

If selected, you will participate in a year-long, comprehensive new teacher training and induction program that includes learning about K12 resources, our culture and how to work on our platforms. This program provides an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment.You will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12’s learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child’s learning.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • 3+ years of teaching experience
  • Preferred experience working with at-risk students

Other Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Detail oriented, able to identify errors in student data and information
  • Able to multi-task, get tasks done quickly and accurately
  • Customer service oriented
  • Communicate professionally and tactfully through all communications
  • Flexible, team-player; adapts to changing office environment
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; familiarity with ability to enter and retrieve information from databases
  • Has a willingness to obtain special licenses or certificates such as Notary, first aid, and CPR
  • Ability to travel 10% of time for meetings, professional development, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to clear required background check.
