The Digital Marketing Specialist- works closely with the Paid Media Team to support various acquisition marketing initiatives. Develops, executes, analyzes and optimizes direct marketing campaigns and materials to generate demand for K12’s private and public offerings. These campaigns span multiple online channels, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), YouTube, and well-versed in all other digital channels.

  • Articulates and champions digital marketing best practices and standards across paid channels;
  • Provides campaign optimization across marketing channels;
  • Delivers high quality leads while optimizing cost-per-lead and cost-per-enrollment;
  • Provides "hands-on" management of lead generation, cross-sell and retention campaigns across digital media channels;
  • Track record of analyzing PPC issues and opportunities, providing and implementing recommendations to improve campaigns;
  • Forges strong relationships with internal teams and external organizations;
  • Tests innovative new marketing strategies and tactics;
  • Participates in budgeting and forecasting;
  • Ensures thorough, timely and accurate stakeholder communications.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field AND
  • Five (5) years of progressive digital marketing experience, specifically in search marketing OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

Other Required Qualifications:
  • Expertise in all aspects of SEM, using Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads), Adobe Media Optimizer, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics/Omniture; other digital systems and tools a plus.
  • The ability to problem-solve, execute, and communicate complex messages to diverse audiences with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong MS Excel, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Develops strategic options and present recommendations to optimize ROI
  • Uses data and metrics to strategically interpret data and develop recommendations
  • Embraces an ever-changing environment while simultaneously balancing multiple projects and able to switch priorities and focus as needed
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with exceptional organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Builds and manages a strong partnership with internal partners
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work cooperatively and effectively network and leverage internal and external resources
